Mr. Vogel serves as a Portfolio Manager for Montag & Caldwell, an Advocacy Wealth Company, and is responsible for managing Client portfolios invested in Montag & Caldwell brand large cap growth, mid cap growth, and thematic growth strategies as well as fixed income and balanced strategies, including Montag & Caldwell’s global tactical allocation model. His experience in the financial industry spans over 45 years, and includes research analysis, portfolio management and banking roles as well as executive and managerial positions. Prior to his affiliation with the Montag & Caldwell brand, he worked as a securities analyst and portfolio manager for 7 years in the Trust Investment Department of Wachovia Bank & Trust Co. in Winston-Salem. Prior to that, he began his career in the industry, entering banking upon receiving his M.B.A. at Duke University, and serving as a commercial loan officer with First Union National Bank in Charlotte and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In the community, Mr. Vogel is the Chairman of the Onnie Mae Spruill Foundation and serves on the Investment Committee of Wellroot Family Services. He is the Treasurer of the Grant Park Health Clinic and a board member of the Empty Stocking Fund and the United Methodist Church Higher Education Foundation. He is an Investment Committee member of the North Georgia United Methodist Foundation, and previously served 10 years as the Investment Committee Chairman. He is a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta and, previously, the Board of Visitors of the Fuqua School of Business at Duke. His professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Atlanta.
