Mr. Watson serves as a Portfolio Manager for Montag & Caldwell, an Advocacy Wealth Company, and is responsible for managing Client portfolios invested in Montag & Caldwell brand large cap growth and mid cap growth strategies as well as fixed income and balanced strategies, including Montag & Caldwell’s global tactical allocation model. He also serves as the Director of Fixed Income Portfolio Management for the Montag & Caldwell brand/business unit. His experience in the financial industry spans 45 years. Prior to his affiliation with the Montag & Caldwell brand, he served as a senior portfolio manager with Merrill Lynch Investment Management, managing private and institutional portfolios, and he was a portfolio manager for SunTrust Banks, Inc., and the company’s Trusco Capital Management subsidiary for 12 years. Past affiliations include membership on the Educational Content Committee of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE); the Professional Qualifications Committee of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB); and past member of the Mississippi State University Foundation Board of Directors. His current professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Mississippi.
